Inspirational: My Father's My Inspiration

The Inspiring Journey of an Elementary School Graduate Who Started a Business and Made a Difference in the Lives of Others

    Not everyone has the opportunity to pursue higher education. However, that does not mean it is an obstacle to success. There are many inspiring stories about ordinary people who were able to rise up and fight, one of which is my father, who only graduated from elementary school but managed to open a small business and benefit many people around him. After graduating from elementary school, he was unable to continue his education due to financial constraints and had to work at a young age. Every day, my father went to a welding factory, where he learned from scratch without pay. 

    Once he started to learn the trade, he began to earn a wage, but it was not much and not as much as his friends. My father did not lose heart and continued to learn. After I was born, my family was very poor, so my father went to Surabaya to work and earn a higher wage. With whatever capital he had, every time he returned from Surabaya, he would buy tools that could be used to start a business at home. Little by little, the tools accumulated, and finally, my father returned and started his business in 2013. It began simply with whatever tools he had, and with my mother’s help promoting his business, people started coming to try it out. 

    FYI, my father's business is a welding shop where people usually repair tractors, hoes, and other items as requested because my father is a jack of all trades. Now, my father's business is becoming well known to many people, and I also help him sell the hoes he makes on Facebook. My father is my inspiration and motivator, and now I can pursue my bachelor’s degree thanks to his hard work and struggles, which are not easy. This is a source of pride for my father and mother. The journey of an elementary school graduate who was able to build this business is proof that limitations are not obstacles to changing our fate for the better. In fact, with enthusiasm and sincere intentions, we can change our life journey for the better.
