The Irony of High Tuition Fees Amidst Poor Facilities

I am a third-semester student at a university where I feel that my tuition fees are quite high considering that my father only works from home. I once applied to the rector for a tuition fee reduction, but my application was rejected outright. The campus facilities for my program, which primarily utilizes technology for learning, are housed in a building with minimal technological infrastructure. The motorcycle parking area is extremely hot with no shade, and the campus Wi-Fi is difficult to use.

This raises the question: where does the students' tuition fee money go? If students are already struggling to pay, it is only fair that we expect our rights to adequate and suitable facilities. We also want to learn comfortably; sometimes we end up in classes that are extremely hot and bright, which makes it difficult for students to concentrate on their studies. Of course not. We simply want good and comfortable facilities because we are paying for them.

This criticism is not meant to bring anyone down, but rather to remind them. The campus should realize that students are not just objects of payment, but the main subjects in the educational process. So it is only natural that we demand our rights to get what we want. Financial transparency, improvement of facilities, and proper use of tuition fees must be priorities.
